Let's spend more time together

As Professor Storbacka says, understanding a customer’s business is very important. I believe that we can all agree on that. But how do we achieve a clear understanding of the customer’s business drivers? That is not an easy question.
As our customer base is in 80 different countries, the most convenient way to communicate these days is by e-mail. But is it really communication? I believe that it is just sending information in one direction or another. And that is not the way to develop good customer relationships, as Professor Storbacka mentioned, and to learn about customers’ business.At Elematic, we have tried to develop our activities in a direction that increases our ability to improve our understanding of customers’ business. Therefore one of our targets has been to increase the time spent by Elematic personnel on-site, at the customer location.We want our project managers, sales managers, CS sales team, service engineers, and management to spend more time with customers. This is the only way to increase our knowledge of customers’ business and to develop long-term customer relationships, which is valuable for both sides.
