A competitor's best compliment

A competitor's best compliment Bauma 2004 is behind us. For us, the event was a great success. We met a tremendous amount of customers, both old and new, and our stand attracted much attention.

For this we thank you, dear readers. Walking through the exhibition, I became nostalgic. We have come far since Spiroll generated the Extruder-technology in the sixties. Dycore continued development and soon we had oval hollows and thicker slabs. Elematic acquired Dycore in 1988 and refined the technology further. The result was groundbreaking - machines that no longer vibrated to achieve the required gauge, but used the shear compaction method. The same basic technique still makes our machines efficient and reliable. And unique. Roth Maschinenbau produced slipformers, representing the other development branch of hollow-core production, already before the extruders. Roth has been a part of the Elematic family since 1995. Our latest slipformer invention was presented at Bauma, but if you missed it there, visit our web site www.elematic.com and see the revolutionary results of our research! Over the years, our machines have been copied by many triers worldwide. You can recognize some very close imitations of the Roth-machines, these copies tending to lack any original solutions. So far, the Acotec-wall technology has only been duplicated in China, but our customers seem to value quality and reliability and generally end up buying the original product. Unfortunately, our industry is still riddled with a growing number of enterprisers, whose business is guided by mere cash flow-thinking. They have little respect for the customer's best interest, not to mention development work. Sadly, it may sometimes be difficult to remember that a good investment can be a profit for life, whereas a bad investment can cause you longtime losses, perhaps even jeopardize your business. So, although we have many reasons to feel flattered, what we care most about is our customers' well-being. This is our motive for remaining a leader in R&D. Managing the concept of complete factories and offering the widest variety of machines means that we can always find the best comprehensive solution for our customer, for you.
