One-stop-supplier, what does it mean?

Reading a summary of last year's Bauma Fair in one of the industry's publications, I was delighted to notice that Elematic has gained numerous followers advertising themselves as one-stop-suppliers. This is a new phenomenon, now our competitors are not only copying our machines, engineering, and colors, they are also copying our slogan.

We adopted this slogan three years ago after close consideration. It embraces the entire precast responsibility for our customers and their success, production, not just hollow-core technology. It also includes all the production expertise needed, such as software, training, and so on, in addition to the together with continuous development work. So, what does it really mean then, to be a one-stop-supplier? Would we be a one-stop-supplier, if we could not deliver our own concrete distribution system to a hollow-core plant? What if we could not supply you with an Enterprise Resource Planning system? Or if we did not have extensive customer service? The answer is NO, we would not. Well then, would we be a one-stop-supplier, if we told you we had a great new system to achieve concrete strengths that others have been able to reach for many years with a suitable concrete mix? What if we advertised a machine that is the only existing one of its kind and which we, moreover, are not prepared to sell? If we were to tempt you with casting rates that every one, who knows anything about the industry, could tell were greatly exaggerated? How about if our development work would be based solely on copying what others have already done, or if we used such deals that we never have concluded, as reference? The answer is NO, we would not. If we would answer YES to ANY of the above questions, we would have to change our slogan to "take-the-money-and-run". But we do not. We have the right slogan, for the right reasons: ELEMATIC MAKES YOUR DREAM CONCRETE. Leo Sandqvist Managing Director
